After three years since her last performance, Katie Hamilton performed alongside Steve Kieswetter at the Scran and Dram in New Hamburg last Saturday night. “It was a great crowd, it felt so good to be back.”
Katie has previously recorded two albums and has been the lead vocal for various band members over the years. Katie has most recently been speaking to a band in the Kitchener area but finds that jam sessions in St. Clements may be too much of a commitment. At this point, Katie is unsure what the future holds.
"Pre-COVID, I played all the time, performing multiple times a month while pregnant," she said. Looking back now, Katie states, “I’m not sure how I did it.” Katie and her husband Scott, reside in Tavistock with their two children, six-year-old Nash, and three-year-old Sienna.
As far as what the future holds for Katie, her and Steve are booked for one upcoming acoustic gig at the Cephas Roth Memorial Fastball tournament. It will be the first beer garden and live music event that Tavistock has seen since the pandemic. The event will take place Saturday, July 16 at Queen’s Park.
